TCC studs are commonly used in refractory applications for heat recovery power generation systems. After the TCC studs are welded in place and the refractory material installed, the sheet metal skin is placed over the studs and hex nuts installed. The crimped area of the stud supports the sheet metal skin and precludes the skin from compressing the insulation below. Specify (L) Length on a Before Weld basis by indicating “BW”
